Other than January the Society meets in Sydney on the first Monday of the months of March, May, July, September (which included the Societys AGM) and December. The Society meets in Melbourne in the third Tuesday of the month in February, April, June, August, October with a Christmas-themed meeting in November. The Society meets on Brisbane on the first Saturday of the months of March, June, September and December. The Society meets in Adelaide on an irregular basis but generally about every three months.

Members are encouraged to participate by bringing their own items of silver for discussion and comment after the feature presentation. However, neither ownership of silver nor a detailed knowledge of the subject is required for membership. The focus is on sharing information and encouraging interest and enthusiasm in silver objects and their stories.

Visits and Tours – From time to time the Society arranges visits to collections and exhibitions of interest to members and organises occasional tours both local and interstate.
